I've seen quite a few comments on here and others sites about Suarez allegedly lacking pace. I don't believe it is true at all, he just read the game so well that pace was largely irrelevant to his general play. Remember that goal against the Bluesh!tes in his final season when he ran with the ball from the halfway line and still left every one of their defenders trailing in his wake?

Obviously it's a moot point but given the choice of signing Messi, Neymar, Lewandowski, Bale or having Luis back I would take the Uruguayan maestro every time. I'm old enough to have watched our legends plus Cruyff, Beckenbauer, Maradona etc and would even prefer him over them.

wow powerful statement there given what you have seen, would have to challenge you on that with Rush, Dalglish and for scoring goals out of nothing Fowler and I am sorry you will never win the one over Maradonna with most in the modern world but hey it's ure opinion and ure quite entitled to it, fascinating post tho...

Suarez is the best player to have ever played for us. I honestly miss him, look at what he's achieved at Barca - he's been their best player this season and that takes some effort. He's honestly a footballing genius.

Think Dalglish will always be regarded as the greatest by most supporters rather than the best, wasn't the greatest in the air and couldn't run however his awareness and eye for goal made up for those weaknesses.
Greatest will always be Souness for me but like I say that's a different category, just for the record Gerrard probably doesn't make my top 10 of greatest players in my book although he is second behind John Barnes for me in the best category.

I would have An Igor in our current squad without a doubt.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

before Igor came into the team against Deportivo away, we were heading out of the competition, we had already lost to Olympiakos and Monaco, he came in and we won 1-0 and he set up the goal,he played in all the games from then on and was then dropped for the final. If he would of played alongside Xabi Alonso in the final instead of Gerrard in that position we would not of been 3-0 down at half time...
