We need 3 signings only in the summer IMO: Goalie, CM/DCM and a winger. If we just go for 3 we can spend a bit more on them and get quality.

We then need to replace people if they leave.

What about strikers we can't rely on Sturridge and Benteke looks poor that leaves orgi and Ings as our strike force

Can't blame Origi when he came on, the middle of the 3, hardest place to score goals. Remember Sturridge v arsenal a few seasons back where we walloped them 5-1, sturridge only scored because he got on the end of a pass. Basically what I'm trying to tell you is that person needs service is that setup, he could try as hard as he could with his movement.

...we can rely on sturridge

We have no talent at all around the centre circle. Can may develope into a good player but his he has no role models to follow, Milner is just an average English footballer, Hendo lacks technique and is scared to hold the ball resorts to being a puppy chasing seagulls on the beach, and Lallana is a butterfly.

we need two real midfield giants that win the ball and direct traffic aka Souness / Alonso.

Maybe a hybrid of the two?

Or he'll be the next Suso, Pacheco etc. etc.

Our midfield is horrendous - that is all.

We can't compare compare every young Spaniard to Suso and Pacheco. Those two didn't have a chance or oppurtunity with the midfield we had at the time.

Meanwhile Teixeira has been one of (if not) the best player on the pitch every time he's played. I know his contract is due to run out, but i'm sure he'd stay if he was getting games (important ones). Branagan's looked really good as well.

What's going on?

If you're talking about the first team, then Teixeira hasn't been good enough and I would fully expect him to leave in the summer.

He can play stylish passes and touches, got decent body work but he hasn't got what it takes to be good enough.

You keep talking about body work. What the heck is it? I'm straight by the way.

You've not been watching!

He's stronger on the ball than Hendo, Milner, Lallana and Ibe for the following reasons:
Hendo doesn't have any composure so just gets rid of the thing as soon as he gets it.
Milner, well, is just bang average in every department.
Lallana is lightweight!
Ibe starts dribbling and either miscontrols it, runs into a crowd or runs out of play.

Admittedly Joao can hold onto it a little too long, but I just don't see what more he needs to do to get a shot ahead of those mentioned above. Especially given his wages would be half what we're paying Hendo, Milner and Lallana.

Think Joao is massively underrated personally. We dominated West Ham a hell of a lot better him and the other ressies than we did with our "first team".
