I wouldn't say dominated, but Joao and Benteke both had promising games, I like to think Joao was partly responsible for a lot of our fairly pleasing chance creation.

What's going on?

If you're talking about the first team, then Teixeira hasn't been good enough and I would fully expect him to leave in the summer.

He can play stylish passes and touches, got decent body work but he hasn't got what it takes to be good enough.

You keep talking about body work. What the heck is it? I'm straight by the way.

He's a frustrated panel beater.

Shake your body down Shaggy

Check out the move on 1.51 ... outstanding body work.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I don't think an overhaul is necessary. Klopp wants to play a 2 man pivot.
Henderson and Can can both break up play. Can can drive forward with the ball and Henderson makes intelligent forward runs. Both have decent engines and decent passing ranges but they don't 'want' the ball. We need a play maker. Someone that's going to demand the ball at any opportunity and link the play between the lines. Pick the ball up from deep and pass forward, then get in a position to receive it back and create something. As long as that person has defensive ability as well I think that pivot could work just by bringing 1 player into central midfield.

Lucas, Allen, Milner and Stewart may likely leave, leaving us with;

New CM, Henderson, Can, Grujic, Allan (Brazilian), Branagan/Rossiter for those 2 positions. Perhaps for games where we don't think we can dominate the midfield with 2 we will switch to a 433 and play Henderson and the new midfielder ahead of Can deeper.

Poorest midfield in decades. Best place for them is the bench.

We have no reliable midfield set up as yet that is working, so I think it's a bit early to be putting players like Can in the bracket of poorest midfield in decades.

I'd add that using a front 3, which we've done many times this season, does make it hard for your midfielders to contribute with goals too, rakitic has 5 for barca, no other midfielder close to that small tally for them. Even if I would stress this is a very very minor point.
