I'm not going to blame Kenny however I know exactly what you mean. Wonder how many others saw that as well?

why wouldn't you blame him, that day against Palace he lost the plot big time, he played four centre halfs in defence and in the days of only two subs he put two full backs on the bench, disgraceful, you might not want to blame him but I certainly will, for me he is one of the main reason we are were we are to this day...

The rot set in way before the villa semi for me the first signs were the 1988 final against Wimbledon

Suarez is the best player ever to wear the Liverpool shirt in my opinion.

might of Stanley but we still had the best regarded player in Europe at the time in John Barnes, Beardsley and Aldridge as an attacking line up and Ronnie Whelan and McMahon in the engine room so there was still plenty of hope, I think Dalglish started to lose the plot the season after when he changed the philosophy of what the club stood for as in we don't worry about the opposition first we make them worry about us by dropping Beardsley for Molby as centre half every game against Wimbledon. Good post tho Stanley..

Hillsborough weighed too heavy on Kenny and the club. Not fair to say he lost the plot.

how heavy was it, he was back in work about 7 months later he even said in his book he was ready to come back after about 2 months off, said he was gutted when Souey was given the job instead of him...

you know what, for me the watershed for me when we were never the same again was the Crystal Palace semi final when we lost 3-4, we always looked vulnerable after that and never ever looked the same as a team after, thanks to Dalglish...

So we lost one game and he was gone a few games after that, all the players were still here, but you blame him for 20 years. Didn't know that one game can do that much? Did all the top players die in a crash in that game? Why didn't his replacement sort it out? What a load of usual tosh from you.

do you read the posts, have you read how the conversation has been going, why don't people read the posts as a whole instead of just picking fractions out, I mentioned the Palace game as for me, yes me and only me I see that games as my watershed where things were never the same again, Stanley traces his back a year earlier against Wimbledon, we both reckon Dalglish had a big part in the downfall for maybe different reasons.
I have no idea why when people don't agree with a post they feel the need to add something personal on the end, why, why can't they just be grown ups and accept we all have differences of opinion...

It started to collapse under Dalglish no one will ever convince me otherwise and I went to every game almost home and away them days. To be fair to Dalglish the truth was the club was badly run also you cant blame dalglish for not addressing the stadium which was outdated back then. Thats the biggest error the clubs made and the reason we will never get back to what we once were
