Nothing is clear about this whole situation TBH.Can we just move on from him being in our plans and get someone else in? If he gets fit again then great but if not then at least we wouldn't be completely screwed for a goal scorer. Everything about our strikers is frustrating beyond belief.

I have said he is a very good player but he never plays so pointless really. If he scores for his new club that's good as he is no longer our problem

He'll be our problem when he's playing against us! I doubt you'll be so flippant about it then.

When Sturridge plays against us yes he may score assuming of course he is fit when playing for his new club. I would say the chances of that are low. In terms of Liverpool FC we pay for players to PLAY for us in the first instance and perform well in the second. We don't pay for players to sit on their arse to obviate the slim chance they may score against us at some point in the future. Frankly sell the bone idle sod and take our chances I say I have a feeling we will end up better off

I wouldn't sell him. He's a striker with world class ability (I wouldn't call him world class due to the fact he can't get on the pitch often enough to prove it) and easily the best player in our squad. Keep him as a luxury that will propel us up the league when he plays but DO NOT rely on him as first choice. Rumours we are after Morata. He or Lacazette would be my 'realistic' first choice options. If there was any hope, any, that we could sign Benzema then get all over that.

To suggest that he isn't playing because he is just too lazy is ridiculous and borders on insane. However, there is something seriously wrong here when words like 'issues' are now being used.

so we just worry about him and not ourselves or other strikers?... what about aguero ,giroud n kane an all?

With our defence we'd have to worry about me plying up front against us!
