I'd agree with Red, how many players have we seen take a full season to settle? Mahrez as an example, has been with Leicester since Jan 2014, scored 4 goals in his first full season. Give Klopp time to work with him.

He's also being played with too similar players. We don't need 3 AM's on the pitch at the same time even though he's being played as a striker.

Not sure why so many people mention Lucas as players either needing time to settle or being given a chance. He's likeable, but really average. Firmino has unfortunately shown very little but Lallana's been here a year longer and is still to show much of anything.

As highlighted above by others when you list the sums 'invested' for lightweight AM players when it has been obvious for years of the gaping holes further back the incompetence is staggering.
He may come good but on his performances up to now he look little different to Aspas. Doesn't fancy it at all. When will the those in charge of recruitment understand we need a side of gifted warriors in the English game, not fancy pansies at crazy money?

Mesut Ozil didn't exactly ignite the PL in his first season here.

Mesut Ozil didn't exactly ignite the PL in his first season here. No but he was a proven world class player for Real Madrid and Germany, he had and has a lot more pedigree than Firmino!

Yes, but Firmino is a proven top class player in the bundesliga, not a one season wonder. If he could do it a few seasons in a row in the bundesliga, i see no reason why he couldnt do it for us...give him time.

It's like people pretend man city never happened with firmino, or that counter attacking worked perfectly against a team we took the lead against and had to attack us. The positions firmino took up were unbelievable, and his pass for coutinho for the 2nd goal, one of the best passes you're going to see in the premier league this season. His all round link up play with coutinho was breath taking.
Doesn't help that there is no striker with movement ahead of firmino, other than static benteke in the box. Benteke's like a tank whenever a liverpool player gets within a yard of him to support him or attack, all of a sudden the other team has almost all their defenders and midfielder players back around their box, at which point the ball needs to go outwide and an early cross needs to be whipped in with benteke's name on it, as it did at villa (and they still finished 3 points from relegation using this world class target man). This is the thing, even with gegenpress and we win the ball back high up the pitch, Benteke hasn't got enough pace or movement to get in behind a defence or carry the ball forward. He lacks dribbling ability (he can only buy half a yard at most to get a shot away) speed and movement. Benteke did try when he first came to liverpool to try and play off the last man. Torres was the best lonestriker in the world between 2008/2009, watch rafa's team gegenpress as we beat Real 4-0, and watch torres goals during the rest of the season, his movement, and ability to get in behind a defence, vision for goal, agility, dribbling ability were his best attributes. benteke has the heading, volleying, on the ball strength, shot power, but not the rest which would make him the perfect forward.

We didn't play with a striker against City so which is it? Yes he played extremely well in that game and got plenty of praise for it, hence why he deserves criticism for poor performances as well.
