I see sturrage is injured again somewhere between the training ground and the team hotel. That's always a danger zone I guess those hotel steps are lethal. Klopps face said it all he said he had no idea what had happened. Gerard's book mentions sturrage he said any niggle he folded and went straight to the treatment room could not shrug things off. Some might call it shirking but whatever they call it, it's gone far beyond a joke now and my guess Klopps patience has worn thin. Expect a replacement first chance he gets

It would be nice to think we should be looking for another quality striker Stan as a team and club on the up and needing such anyway as part of a rotation with CL football and taking every competition seriously.

Apparently he felt some 'discomfort' in the foot and the medical team have pulled him out and sent him to have a scan. After this long out I would have done the same. Of course mentally the lad can't be all that confident but hopefully when he finally gets back on the pitch and gets a few games under his belt that will improve and worries about every little niggle magnified in his head x100 with it.

We definitely need a replacement, but, I cannot blame Sturridge, he is just made like that, unfortunately.

I always maintained that he was worth having in the squad, but I've gotten to the stage now where I think I'd just cut him loose... he's fantastic when fit, but made of glass / weak minded.

You are guessing Stan. Look at the work he has put in to regain fitness in America. The lad has worked tirelessly for months. It is well known that players in Italy have a similar cautious approach to injuries and still have some of the best teams and international football in the game. He can't be relied upon but it would be ridiculous to try and offload him on the cheap.
