I just knew as soon as Jurgen Klopp tried to put the majority of the blame on Joe Allen for Rubin's goal at Anfield (it was mainly Emre Can's and partly Clyne's fault) that life was going to be difficult for him under our new manager.

However with Can performing poorly even by his standards, does this open the door for a Joe Allen start against City?

Allen has tremendous technique and body work that his midfield counterparts badly lack. He's struggled for a run in the team because of injuries throughout his whole time here, and in some matches has even played with existing injuries.
