Maybe the fact that half the regular starting XI was on the treatment table had something to do with the outcome too? Origi as the only striker available perhaps didn't mean a downgrade?

How do you know the result would have been the same under BRENDAN?

And maybe the fact that the players now seemed to actually give a f*ck don't mean anything at all to you?

Overall a positive and promising start. I'm not having a go at Klopp, I just don't want people to take stats out of context.

No he didn't find that out at all. You have just taken stats out of context there my friend! The kind of injuries his players picked up at Dortmund was knocks and bruices from rough tackles being made to them by the opponents. How can you avoid these injuries by running less?

By the way: Are you married to BRENDAN or summat? Have never seen an LFC supporter being so positively hung up on a manager before. Let it go!

Massive change for me- some steel, dogged defending, chasing all over the pitch to win the ball back, Mignolet shout for best game for me in a Liverpool shirt.

Not going to slate Origi as he has come in out his depth and tried his hardest but observations were that he didn't show particularly great pace (Ings is faster)he got in some good positions but £10 million shows why hopefully that ludicrous transfer policy is behind us.

With a few to come back of quality we should start to kick on at last.

This was encouraging I thought, a definite change in direction.

'Collectively, Liverpool’s players covered more distance, and made more sprints, than in any of their previous Premier League games this season. They were also the first side to outrun Tottenham, the most effective pressing team in the division'

It was a good result all the same.

And to be honest with this increased exertion we didn't see an improvement in performance or result. Now the players will need longer to recover and there is also an increased risk of injury as Klopp also found out in his last season at Dortmund.

I think you have a blow up doll of Brendan which you cuddle at night, amongst other things. Which holes do you prefer?

Injuries aren't an acceptable excuse for poor performances. Our previous manager found this out a couple of weeks ago.

Some of Dortmund's players suffered from muscular injuries caused by overtraining/overuse. I don't even know why you are arguing this point, if the players train harder and play more intensely in matches than they have done before then there is an increased risk of injury.

I'm focusing on our current manager. If you want to bring up previous managers then don't bring me into it.

No but injuries to half the regular starting XI at the same time would explain the under par quality performed by part of the team out on the pitch, wouldn't you say? Sturridge or Ings or Benteke instead of Origi would perhaps have made our attack look a bit less toothless?

Some of any team's players will suffer from muscular injuries over any season. But you were initially implying that all or most of the injuries at Dortmund last season were due to overtraining and Klopp's playing system. That simply isn't true. He has already explained what happened himself.

Good that you have started to focus on the present manager instead of the former one. I might have gone too far there accusing you of BR obsession.

Are you a glass half empty kind of guy? Look at his record at Dortmund. If his training methods at Dortmund injured players then he was right to do it.

Whether Dortmund players suffered injuries or not is irrelevant. Dortmund players got medals under Klopp, this is what matters. Our players won fk all with Brendan who had more than 3 years and 300m to show for something. Rodgers has gone in history as one of the worse of our managers, not having won anything in 3 seasons, thats the main stat you should know.

Come on guys,we've all experienced a broken heart at some stage in our lives.. Be strong Red.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.
