I’ve already predicted before the opening of the transfer window that we’d not finish any better than we did last season, however the scene has changed somewhat with the partial abandonment of the recruitment policy by FSG, and consequent slight strengthening by us, including the lack of strengthening by City, and little also little so far by Spurs, then there’s the question of who and how many United might yet sign. Given there’s a whole month remaining on the window and the fact that so much could change predictions at this stage are perilous in the extreme! However I never did quite get the hang of sitting on the fence, so I’ll make a preliminary prediction pending further developments and based on where all sides currently stand; 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Liverpool 4. United 5. City 6. Spurs However if City strengthen as is likely, and United gel, less likely but possible, we could well end up in 5th. I dont now expect Spurs to strengthen sufficiently to pip us again this season.

Chelsea Arsenal United Us or City Us or City Spurs
We've improved. It just depends on how much more City continues to drop. I thing the gulf in class with the other is too great, but City look weaker this year, not stronger.

Think costa's injuries might change my mind.Said a couple of weeks ago chelsea need 1 or 2. They don't look right and falco and remy ain't up to much. They should sign pedro and another striker

My prediction
Liverpool - we have got more than enough to win the Prem. Man Utd - Should improve under VG. Chelsea - Terry is aging resulting in Jose desperate attempt to sign a central defender, no striker if Costa is injured. Man City - Should scrape 4th Arsenal - 5th for me, Cech will not make the slightest difference to them, and only Giroud upfront is a joke. West Ham - Will claim 6th, some decent signings this summer.

It seems every week Costa has a niggle so if they don't get someone in they may not be the run away winners most expect.
