Already explained Benteke is going to Man Utd.
And FSG wouldn't give Klopp everything he wanted.

Do keep up dear.

Let's compare signings so far:

Clyne vs Darmian: ones completely unproven, the other was one of the bests right backs in the league last season. Winner: Clyne by a mile.

Firmino vs Depay: both goal scorer and get assists. Depay has better scoring record, but in a weaker league. IMO it's 50:50 which one will do better. Draw.

Milner vs Schweinsteiger: No doubting that schwein was a top player, and much better than Milner, but is he still that player. Massive doubts over his injury record, and moving to a faster more physical league at his age won't help. He may not settle even if he is fit. With Milner we'll get consistent performances to a high, if not spectacular level. This one could go either way as to who has the most impact next season. Draw.

Ings vs schneiderlin: no other players to really compare, so I bundled these two together. Schneiderlin is obviously the better signing here though, but does it really fill a position they needed another player for? They already have blind, Herrera and carrick in the middle, with schweinsteiger added, did they need him?

The transfer window is still open, so it could still go either way, but overall I'd say if anything the windows so far has been even.

Wait until we sign Reus, Lacazette, Higuain or Martinez.

If all else fails say that word outstanding a couple of times. The more you do the more you will believe your own spin.

A fair assessment I'd say. The doom sayers won't agree though!

At this point in time probably but United will spend much more in proven players than us I would think. For sure they will sign a CF and a proven one at a bigger fee than us which will probably be the difference.

Yep. They have bigger spending power than us. But they did last season and they were shitte! If we had our shitte together last year we'd have beaten them to 4th. No guarantees they'll play any better this season and if they lose De Gea?

we haven't a hope of top 4 atm.. we have problems that we just don't seem to care about. we don't have a top class keeper, centre half, left back or central midfielder, not to mention the striker situation . Mourinho makes sure he has 2 top class keepers, utd have bought real quality and will add a striker, city will spend big but they need too. arsenal are very very good ..only possible team is city who are getting on and sterling ain't even close to solving their problems..... we will finish 6th or 7th unless we sign players

I think Chelsea will win the league just as easily as they did last season. I actually fancy Arsenal to be next best, although they are nothing special without signing another striker. I don't fancy Man City or Man Utd. To me Sterling doesn't significantly improve City, in fact I think they are weaker than last season so far after losing Lampard and Milner, Toure has been in decline and he's another year older and there are still question marks over his commitment. If Aguero has a poor season with injuries I think they may struggle.

Man Utd have signed a couple of good midfielders but they look very weak up front. I don't see any significant improvement from them this season and they were already there for the taking last season.

Chelsea apart I still think the standard at the top is nothing special, if we have a good season we can do it. Lets face it we were abysmal last season and we still looked like we could do it until a few games before the end. If we don't get a decent striker though we have no chance.
