Our entire defence is crap, and Skertel is undoubtably the best of a crummy bunch as far as performance last season is concerned. I said about 18 months back that I’d ditch the lot of them and start again, and that might still be the best option. Maybe Clyne will step up, but theres a better chance the others will drag him down to their level. This lot as they stand is arguably the worst I’ve ever seen in a red jersey.
As for Markovitch, I’d give him another season, I know he flattered to deceive last season, but there is a bit about him that suggests if played regularly in his best position he could come good, perhaps not, but I think he rates a chance.

So according to reports.
Joe Allen will be offered a 3 year new deal.
Skrtel is ready to be offered and sign a new 3 year deal.
While BR wants to send our 20million signing out on loan.

Markovic has more talent in his left foot combined and when Sterling leaves he will be our 1 true winger left at the club.
And while Ibe has potential at this stage Markovic is way ahead of Ibe, if only BR would play him in a attacking position.
The decision to give both Joe Allen and Skrtel new 3 year contracts is laughable, I would rather play Sahko plus Lovren or Illori in central defence than Skrtel, whose lack of leadership is appalling.
As for Joe Allen being given a new 3 year contract, will he ever get in the 1st team ahead of Can, Milner and Henderson, surely he is blocking a bench place for a up and coming youngster.
Decisions like these really baffle me.
I suppose it depends on what Klopp wants. What's your source say on the matter?

Wouldn't mind all 3 leaving to be honest. Markovic was very dissapointing when he played, apart from 2-3 games around turn of the year. I can't see him getting in the team this season so I wouldn't be surprised if he is loaned out. Joe Allen is maybe good enough to be on the bench, very little contribution in games. I can't really think of any particular strength in his game. Our defence has been poor ever since Skrtels been in it and I don't think thats coincidence. Always has a mistake in him, regularly caught out of position and easy to get in behind. He doesn't seem to inspire confidence in those around him. I think Sakho is our best defender, just my opinion. Realistically we are not going to see him leave because none of the other defenders can be trusted. Sakho injury prone, Lovren has been abysmal, even worse than Skrtel. Illori, Wisdom, Gomez untested. For me we should be giving one of these 3 a run in preseason alongside Sakho, if they do well keep them in, if not put Skrtel back in.

He is not our best defender but is better than what we currently have and he score goals. But we can get better. He's not our best defender.. he's just better than our other defenders? Wtf have you been smoking? Non of your fvcken business what I smoked we're all entitled to our opinions. Some of you think that your opinions are the only ones that matters. I think you need to calm down. I'm not questioning your opinion but maybe you could clarify it by typing it in a coherent sentence. You said Skrtel isn't our best defender but he's better than the other defenders we have. Wouldn't that make him our best defender then? Maybe what he meant to say is that Skrtel isn't our worst defender but the rest are better than he is. Just saying

If I had to choose out of all our central defenders based on the quality they have shown over the past 3 seasons, worldwide reputations, whether a top flight club would sign said player in the summer, then unfortunately Skrtel would definitely come behind Sahko and Lovren.
And for potential to improve I would class Illori and Gomez above Skrtel as well.
In fact I would predict that Coates playing underneath Big Dick at Sunderland next season will have a better season for them than Skrtel will for us.
