Sterling will be a starter. Navas is crap so when they play with a winger Sterling will always start because he is an upgrade.

He might start the first few games but if his form and end product doesn't vastly improve over last season, he'll be benched in no time which is what I think will happen.

Two seasons ago he was excellent playing alongside Suarez and a fit Sturridge.

He played without neither last season ( Sturridge mostly injured) which meant teams only had him to worry about and not the other two.

He will play in a forward line City that includes Aguerro and who ever else they might sign, he will do fine at City and it's our loss.

And when Suarez played on his own he still managed to produce something that Sterling hasn't done. Truly great players can do that and if Sterling is truly great, he should've been able to do much better last season.

He isn't a great player but he is still one of our better players.

He will benefit from having good players around him.

He is still a loss, whether he's a d1ck or not.

But he's no Suarez so a lot more replaceable for me and we may already have his replacement in Ibe who has shown great promise in his few appearances.

Could isn't worth £150k a week. Could isn't even worth the £100k we offered.

I don't see this going well for him

Aguero and Silva are top drawer footballers, anyone half decent will look very good playing next to them.

I suppose so, even Balotelli looked a good player

Not disagreeing, I don't rate him that highly but 150k per week is nothing to a top premier legue club. Look at Rooney, he behaved pretty much the same as Sterling, even though he was in a top top team at the time, What do United do? give him a 300k a week contract. What do we do? Tell him he's too young to earn more than 100k a week and he's being given bad advice.

Handled very very badly on both sides to be honest. We should have offered him 150k as soon as he turned down the 100k a week offer. Rodgers spoke to the press about this months before Sterling did, the club (or manager at least) went public before Sterling did. 200k a week he'd probably sign tomorrow. Time will tell whether he becomes as good as he thinks he is, but the sake of penny pinching (In relative terms for a premier league club that turns over 300 million a year) what was the point?

Really? Compare Sterling to Rooney. Rooney (like him or not) is the final product and is an established PL player and has done a lot more for United than Sterling for LFC, of which he had every right to ask for more money or a better club. And in case you forgot, his agent said even if we offered 900k, he won't sign.

yeah nothing to do witha bigger better club with much better players who show ambition every yeah and have a far better chance of winning things. Come on mate.

So he'd go there for a modest pay increase or, lets say, for double what he gets now which is more than enough to keep him for life? I know, I know, why would he when they're players are all on more and that's what they'll offer but if it's not about money and just his ambition then why not?

His head has been turned by his agent who will also be in for a massive pay day (and has tried the same with Berahino I think). He has been playing regularly for a club that has bent over backwards for him and has even played him when he's been shitte for most of the season.

He'll go sit on their bench and get a medal or two for it so good luck to him. But don't lie to us and don't fool yourself that he's not motivated by the ££'s.

I don't think the club has done him any favours though. Rodgers played him as a CF because he thought he didn't have a better option. The guy will get more money to play for a club that has higher chances of success, can't blame him for that. If he was shiite, the club would have tried to offload him like Aspas for example, so what's all the fuss about him?
