Jesus, Messi was world class at 19 years old. Nominated for Balon D'or at 21 and won it at 22. From the first minute Messi stepped onto the pitch in Barcelona colours you knew you were witnessing something very very special.

Raheem, albeit a good player, is no where near in comparison to that level. Yes, he could go on to be very good and turn out to be a bargain for them but so what? They have money and we don't.

I don't like it but I'm resigned to him going to City now. If it's below 50m though I'll be very disappointed considering the QPR clause etc.

you seem a little unsure Faz.... only 100%? Brendan would not be impressed. He would insist 150% that Sterling is a nice lad and has always been good with him.
as soon as he is gone the better for the club and the fans , £50 million liverpool are robbing MCFC i would snap there arms off for 50 pence good riddance .

+1

It's almost worth giving him away on a freebie.
Got to be worth £50M to us in terms of the boost in moral and end to disruption, bloody turd.

Can't belive he's valued the same as Torres was.
Citeh are being fleeced BIG time if they accept that amount.

He won't be another Scott Sinclair. At this price he plays every week. I just don't want BR having the money to make more costly mistakes.

For those saying why are we selling our best player we are not. Best player by a country mile was Coutinho last season. We can get £50m for Sterling. Just hope we don't make the mistake of keeping him.

It doesn't matter what you think, City are willing to pay £40m for him and I would value their opinion of him slightly more than your biased hate filled rant about the ba5tard. But then you wanted Suarez sold as well.

spot on at 19-20 players who are special are clearly top draw special by then , IE messi , gerrard, rooney, fowler, owen , john barnes etc , but not sterling , yes a good player on his day which is not many but thats it £50 million good work by liverpool to fleece someone else for a change , i would take 50 pence for him , look players move on all the time from liverpool but the way he and his agent has gone about it , his downing of tools i will rejoice when he is gone good riddance .

Good comeback

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Will he though? Surely with the other players they have, they have to drop him if he's playing poorly. If he plays anything like he did for us in that last half season then i can't see him being in the squad for long let alone the 1st 11.

We only continued to play him everyweek because we had limited options and BR was stubborn.

That said, i hope your right and he does play every week even if he's playing sh!te, might just make it that bit easier to grab 4th!

No what matters is that we are losing a player that city value at £40m yet you think he's rubbish.

You are the most fickle fan on here and you turn on players viciously if they dare consider leaving. You did it with Suarez and now with Sterling.

Why would players show any loyalty to the club with fans like you.

so you trust a club that is willing fork out £50 million on player , that same club that spent £15 million on jack rodwell and chelsea's judgement on £50 million torres , ok mate you trust that judgement , i will just go on facts and what i have seen from sterling and he is not and never will be a special players in the rooney or gerrard mould never .
