If he is good and we overpay I am not bothered. We spent over a 100M on players last summer who did very little for the team. I'd be more worried about that than overpaying for a player who might actually bring something to the team...
Our transfer record is abysmal,Just be happy for a change that we actually might be getting the player we need.

Think he will operate on the right side of a 433, pushing inside. Much in the way that Neymar does for Barcelona. This with the opportunity to use him as a second striker in a diamond during the game.

Possibly might see him on right with Markovic on left.
Our front line needs to be interchangeable and players need to compliment each other. The BBC South American expert seems to think it is certain there will be another striker in too.
It is possible that Sturridge may struggle to get into the team. Let's hope that is the case because it will mean we have a strong line up and competition for places and a stronger bench.

Actually, think you'll find Coutinho will end up on the left of the 3 rather than operating in the midfield.
Nothing concrete on this, just my thoughts considering our ongoing interest in Kovacic.

Keeps Coutinho happy as well. So pretty much 29m in the long run. Still a very high price but I am very happy with the signing nonetheless. The most surprising thing is this transfer was done swiftly and silently. That's how it should be done all the time so rivals have no chance of stealing.

If we end up paying the clauses then he's basically already paid for himself in my view.
Hopefully nothing about a future sell on clause in there too.
