With Sterling, according to most press sources, all but certain to leave Liverpool this summer, and rumours of bids with players included, just wondering which players could and would be acceptable to be included in deals...

The London Evening Standard suggests that Arsenal are unlikely to enter the race if the fee remains £50m, with Theo Walcott likely to sign a new deal, but the teams interested are rumoured to be:

Manchester City
Manchester Utd
Chelsea
Arsenal
Bayern Munich
Real Madrid
PSG

So I ask, what offers would be the threshold of acceptance for each club, and which players would you take.

Remember, selling to a rival hasn't always brought them success - Meireles and Torres to name a couple, and that 25% of the fee for Sterling will head to QPR, so...

Thoughts on offers...

I'll kick it off then, I' be willing to take no more than £30m for a fee. I think the £22m for Cheryshev, is all that we'd need to spare to replace him, so I'd be looking at any other club and trying to find between £20-30m of players who could add to the team.

At City, Jovetic and Dzeko are decent options
At Utd, players wouldn't move to us so no go
At Chelsea, Cech, Bamford, Oscar
At Arsenal, Walcott and Gibbs isn't a bad shout, but I think we'd want more money
At Munich, Sebastian Rode is one of few they'd sell
At Real Madrid, Cheryshev, Benzema, Illarimendi, the list is long...
At PSG, Ibra, Lavezzi, Pastore, they have a lot of potential sales there too...

At 20 years old I don't think he has what it takes to make the move outside England, yet. He's shown that he's not mentally mature enough.

Don't want Walcott, so I'd say no to the Arse, can't see us doing business with UTD, Chelsea are light years ahead of us anyway so they're not really a "rival", but we'd get shafted by them on any swap deal.

So, 25m from City plus Jovetic..

We should keep Sterling, forget these player plus cash deals. These deals show we can't compete with top teams for top players and have to make do with players that are surplus to requirements. We can compete and we are better than that.

Out of your list only Benzema. Maybe Jovetic but I'd prefer it if we just bought him with money

£40mil and Jovetic and I would consider it. I'm just thinking though if we do player plus cash would that mean we would have to pay a smaller fee to QPR if they're entitle to a percentage?

Yup. Smaller fee. That's why I don't see the club selling for less than £50m, unless there are other players involved.

I'm sure they have targets in mind and know how much additional money they need to make them happen.

Jovetic isn't generally a lead striker, but he could be in BRs system. I'm not sure Balotelli will leave, but the two of them up front could be very good, Balotelli the more casual striker playing off Jovetic, running the lines.

Yeah, I thought QPR got 20% not 25% ? so in the unlikely event we sold him for 50m they'd get 10m, I think 40m cash is more realistic.

Far as I know Jovetic is valued at 15m, but City need to sell so a bit of wiggle room.

I'd rather see Mario go, no faith in him.

Out of that (very good) list, I can only see Jovetic and Dzeko even considering us realistically. Even dzeko might think he deserves a better club.
