Not nonsense at all.
Look at the quality players who sign for Spurs, Lloris, Erikson etc, all due to the lure of London, Spurs have not won anything and rarely finish above us.
Consider West Ham, spanking new Stadium, attraction of London, a manager with a worldwide reputation as a player, and experience of managing all over Europe and internationally.
I give it a couple of seasons before West Ham overtake us.
Unless we get new owners.
i get what you're saying and the point you're trying to make. but its a bit farfetched don't you think? a possibility nonetheless but its all big "ifs" and "buts".
an argument could also be made that they could end up following newcastle. the fans ousted a manager they never favoured yet performed fairly well in pardew, yet when he left it all went to pot. a similar case could be made for west ham and their hatred for sam alladyce despite doing quite well at the club and being forced into playing completely different tactics than what he's used to
be interesting to see how they get on next season, it could go either way... or they finish in a very similar position
