Someone talks some sense on strikers mate. Nice post.

Borini hasn't had a chance? He's had a chance at Liverpool and Sunderland and proved he wasn't good enough for Liverpool

Ref: £60 million wasted on bangers. Borini had enough of a chance I'll agree with you there.

Scatter gun or Surgeon's knife for 2 real quality signings? The last 3 years of those names mentioned should tell the tale.

How is a 22 year old Ings a nomad? He's only played at 2 clubs as far as I'm aware.

HE IS NOT FREE! 6m according to espn we have to pay up. Not good enough for Liverpool, most likely will get a few games and then disapear like Lambert.

You said you've never seen him play so how can you say he's not good enough?

This has to be better than Aspas or Borini. Give the kid a chance. He might be only 3rd striker but has to be better or as good as bringing either of them 2 or Lambert or Balotelli on. The joke is BR who was bleating on about needing strikers and having 3 fit ones chose to play none of them.
It will be Origi Sturridge Ings and one more coming in. That one more coming in is not necessarily now. One or two of Lambert, Balotelli, Aspas, Borini will stay to cover until Sturridge gets back. When BR hasn't done the biz by Christmas he will be gone and a new manager will get to spend the money. Of course a lot could happen by Christmas. Part of what happens will be determined by the fixture list which is out next week. We get City Scum Chelsea Arsenal away before Christmas he might go sooner

£60 million spent excluding salaries on strikers - only Sturridge has performed for one season and a bit. The first three on the list never got a chance to play so who knows history might repeat itself and Ings will not get a game.

I dont think we make them hungry enough. Borini is on £55k a week and we dont play him because he is not good enough.
Ings will be on nearer £35k a week. If he shows a bit more desire he might get to the next level.

Not sure why there is such disdain for the signing. Young, cheap, been prolific for his last club, has played in a very expansive system and hard-working. Also made it clear he wanted to sign for us, despite the press suggesting interest from a number of clubs. If signing him gives us more money to spend elsewhere I am all for it, but I am for it anyway!

Because any signing now that don't cost £20+ million they use to blame FSG for lacking ambition or Rodgers for failing to attract big names. Pathetic really. And even when they do splash the cash no one gives the players time to settle and they say we overpaid and slate the transfer committee. Can't win
