Well, then we'll better get a Manager with proper European experience. Assistant managers cannot be blamed for poor results.

My take on it. They have retained him but told him it's his very last chance to get things right. He's thought of having a staff reshuffle which isn't unheard of in football.

I know the manager is the same but who actually thought that Pascoe and Marsh were the best coaches around? If he can get top quality coaches in and then sort himself out and stop with all the weird bollox he was doing last season we might just end up doing better?

Exactly wilk... removing lesser coaches for better coaches is an opportunity to improve.

Reds, they aren't just scapegoats, they have just lost their jobs for reasons most of us don't know. Presumptions that they're accountable are just assumptions.

Clearly we need to improve in all areas, it is good, in my eyes, to see the club willing to make a change to the backroom staff as much as reorganise the guys on the pitch.

It's what we all want to know I think rodgers will be sacked may 2016 this coming season is a complete waste of time

Welsh virtually guaranteed it after all.

And stop being a drama queen. The season won't be as bad as everyone thinks.

Yes it will

Might we be looking at an Evens / Houllier experiment again or something similar.

Doesn't say much for BR though does it, most managers would leave with his staff. All very strange, and there is no point having a manager who isn't trusted. Its not gonna last long this, should just get it done now.

I agree it is a bit strange. But it's not unheard of to change coaching staff. And if they don't trust him as you say then it'll fail so they should just get rid.

Good point TKP. That's why I think Ayesteran and Hyypia are being looked at. Ayesteran can cover if things go wrong and we can't sign a new manager mid-season. Hyypia can be given the chance to lead as he works in the club. Ayesteran's success is now well documented and is certainly a name that has been in Europe for numerous years. Hyypia, as a former top boss in Germany, certainly fits the profile too. Both can also be utilised to convince players to come in. It's a win-win-win situation to me.

Except that these 2 (or some others) might be forced on BR, which will not work especially if they have the ambition to take the place of the manager. It is a mess if it is not the manager choosing his staff.
