If they don’t drastically change their recruitment and wage policies they needn’t bother chasing Klop or anyone else either, we won’t be winning anything with more prospects. Also I’m not convinced that Klop would be foolish enough to accept the moneyball project as it stands, with it’s current constraints. Rodgers should have ditched it when on a high at the end of last season, but he let his ego rule his head.
FSG need to face the realities of the premier league, its supper competitive and you cannot be anywhere near the top level with a squad full of freebiees, hasbeens, loanees and cheapie prospects. They have to compete and sign proven quality PL ready players and pay them the going rate, theres no way to avoid competing on all fronts in the PL, if you want to compete at the top level.

I'm sure that policies change all the time. They abandoned the Director of Football approach in favour of a committee (which was an even more foolish idea!). So why not abandon the committee in favour of a 'crazy' idea where the manager chooses the players that he is going to manage? They can always change it again at a later date - I can't see it as being a deal maker on FSG's part. They've had zero success with it so it makes no sense to keep it in place.

It would be worth getting a new manager in even with the same owners & policies.... Brendan has hit a wall and lost all direction, he doesn't have a clue what he's doing and doesn't inspire the players.

At this stage almost anyone would be an improvement as opposed to keeping Brodge - thing is tho after trialling an inexperienced manager after stints by Kenny & Hodge, the fans will riot if we don't get a proven gaffer in..

..and quite rightly so.

Well now Donut, you pick a manager, any manager you like, and then set up your preferred selection of eleven players from our squad as it currently stands, and then try and convince the rest of us on this forum that your selection, under your chosen manager, has a decent chance against any of the top 4 sides as they currently stand, even United and they’re the weakest of the four of them. The harsh and unpalatable truth is we now have a squad of players that’s lucky to even be in 6th.
