You mean a manager like Mourinho who parked a bus in the Nou Camp?

Jose did what was needed on Wednesday and did it brilliantly. We conquered Europe in the 70s and early 80s with similar performances when needed.

The problem I have with Dalglish is that latterly, he began the club's demise. He started tinkering with the team and tactics, worrying about the oppo when we always used to let them worry about us. Then he let the team grow old and his replacements were of questionable quality and ability to say the least. Plus I don't think his heart would be in it.

I'd be happy with Hodgson, would obviously take Maureen but what about Martin Jol anyone? He did a very good job at Spurs but got shafted big time. He's tough, but with that dutch streak would get us playing attractive attacking football I reckon. Just a thought really, one for the list to consider.

no one can complain about maureen and "parking the bus". he did exactly what he had to do to get his team into the final. he's a winner, probably the best around at the moment.

hodgson would be a good option too.

what just just came to mind now, is that two weeks ago we heard the chinese say they had auditors at LFC examining the books, now suddenly we hear that DIC are going to buy for 500m.

What happend to the chinese due diligence audit?

There too many loose ends coming out of the press for us to really take anything tangible from it. I think after hull we will see some news.

We cant delay with new owners or new coach, or even both, cos if we do, we wont have enough time to buy players

Who ever takes over, they have a big challenge to turn the club around. The team will need to get about 15 points more in the league to challenge. Assuming Pool now finish with 65pts and Chelsea with 86pts, then looking back at the last 6 seasons of Rafa's reign:

Pool average Points = 72.5
Premier League Winners Average Points = 89.66
Thats a difference of 17.16

Under Houllier for his 6 seasons '99 - '04:
Pool average Points = 65.66
Premier League Winners Average Points = 85
Thats a difference of 19.44

Rafa on average finished 7 points better off than Houllier. However on average it required 4.66 more points to win the league during Rafa's reign than it did during Houllier's reign.
Refa got closer to the title by less than 2.5 points.
"Clearly we need to improve" as he has said himself.
