Surely we wouldn't sack a manager who spent over £100m and won nothing whilst failing to make the Top 4.

King Kenny anyone?

It got me thinking, what have the Romans, i mean, Rodgers ever done for us?

Diick head won us nothing, lost us players, brought in weirdo's and made us into Swansea. He facilitated mediocrity, lied to fans and ha been a lapdog for the owners.

It'll be a quiet exit with nothing to thank him for.

Despite the terrible season we've just had Rodgers got us the closest we've been to winning the title for a couple of decades and also had us playing the best football we've seen for years.

Said it a thousand times now, and every time i do, I become more and more convinced that in essence we WERE basically a one man team last season.
He inspired those around him to get their fat stubby fingers out of their fa wobbly lardy arse holes, and perform WAY above their natural ability.
If it hadn't been for out totally shyte defence we'd have won the PL at a canter.
Without KING Luis, we'd have finished in the bottom half of the league, no doubt in my mind at all.

BR had very little to do with our stunning season last season imo.
We'd probably have won it again this year but for the lack of the great L.S. cry

Do you really think Rodgers is the main reason we lost players, brought in duds and are mediocre?

The main reason for it is the owners, there is no ambition and Rodgers knows if he challenges them, he'll be out the door in an instant

If Klopp or Benitez came in now, they might have a short term impact in terms of results but it would inevitably end up the same way as it is now unless the owners change their stance and ambition

I agree that Suarez inspired the rest of the team to over achieve last season but I don't believe that it was totally down to him. The footy we played as a team was awesome at times last season and Rodgers and the rest of the players also have to take credit for that.

I still think we could comfortably got into that top 4 this season if only we had brought in half decent striker. That was the biggest mistake made by Rodgers or who ever was responsible for our transfers last summer.

Evidence before and since then seems to suggest that it was a fluke... or at least that his had less to do with Rodgers and more to do with Luis Suarez.

Why did Suarez not do it the season before then or with Kenny?

2010/11 - helped Liverpool go from twelfth in the league in mid-January to finish sixth.

2011/12 - write off due to stupid incident

2012/13 - shortlist for PFA Players' Player of the Year; second-top goalscorer in the Premier League Liverpool's player of the season.

He's been a class act since day one. The first two seasons he was leading up to his peak which it seems he reached last season. And he also had players like Coutino and Sturridge around him last season. Yes, BR takes credit for giving Suraez the freedom to play but it seems he stumble across the formula.

Of course he was a class act. But to say it was all him is just plain wrong.

And why does it have to be that Rodgers stumbled across the formation to get the best from him? Maybe he saw what was needed and did it? It's funny how when other managers find winning formulas it's their genius not luck!

And you wont?

We have a chance to pick up a manager with some pedigree to replace that spoofer with the stolen teeth.

If we fail to act now we will rue it for a very long time.

I wouldn't let Rodgers spend what's left of my first communion money never mind another transfer budget.

It would be a massive missed opportunity. But it's not Rodgers fault so why go after him? It's FSG that are the root cause of this. And who's to say we couldn't have another good season like last year?
