I also think this is a bit of a storm in a teacup. This happens all the time - many clubs have to deal with it - this just happens to be a high profile case. It's obvious that his agent is a bit of a twunt. Most are money-grabbers but they go about things in a professional way - this one is a chavvy git like his client. I also don't get all the vitriol from other club's fans - it's not like this is a rare occurrence - it's becoming more commonplace in the modern game. I don't think we have to panic - but get our manager/review situation sorted first - then target some good players. We hold the cards on this at the moment - we should deal with it on our terms.
Agreed, more important matters to adhere to regarding the club right now. Give Stevie the send off he deserves, sort out the manager/committee stuff and see who's in charge etc and then we can look at Raheem and sort out whether he stays or goes.
Letting him go in our league would show our other players that we are push overs when it comes to their demands if they make a scene. Keeping him at the club "could" unsettle some of the younger lads.
Perhaps if he stayed he could emulate Suarez in signing the contract with a release clause and playing for the move, helping all parties but would only happen if he drops this joke of an agent.
Personally see him leaving for abroad.
