Of course, he may have looked at the EPL and thought....'there are 4 very wealthy clubs who will only get wealthier thereby cementing their positions in the top 4 (soon to become top 3, making it even harder). So what is the point in going to Liverpool? There isn't a hope in hell of them getting CL football and the fans will turn on me if I don't win the league by xmas every year'.

It's everywhere now. It was first mentioned on the radio at lunchtime bit now it is being reported all over the place.

Klopp wasn't coming here anyway, as I said earlier he spoke to FSG in November and he didn't like the idea of what was on offer. It will either be Rafa, de boer or Rodgers staying and I have a bad feeling it will be the latter.

1) they have one of the world's top managers lined up instead
2) they are happy with BR and think that he's better than Jurgen

I can't see any other possibilities.


3). They are happy with BR as he will tow the party line, and can use last years success as a reason to placate fans for another year. No one thinks Rodgers is better than Klopp, not even Rodgers mum can think that.

I must admit I'm quite ignorant about how managerial hires take place in the footballing world, so genuinely I wouldn't have a clue but I thought flying out somewhere (if indeed he is doing that) was a sign of pretty advanced talks, as I doubt he would be required to interview for example.

If they keep and next season is no better or more likely worse then who do we get next season garry monk !!!!!

Absolutely. He'll be going there to sign a contract. Any 'terms' will have been discussed and sorted first.

It would have been understandable if we'd missed on the opportunity of signing a world class manager like Klopp because he preferred Bayern or City, but for him to go to the Turkish league -if and when he does- is just another wasted opportunity by a club which has made a habit of wasting opportunities.
