Apparently FSG have voted in favour of sacking Rodgers IF and only IF, they can secure their primary target, and i belive that is Klopp. Now read again, APPARENTLY and IF.
From what Dunk has said, reports claim that Klopp hasn't been secured YET though. He's not completwly sold on the project apparently, which in my mind spells "no change in transfer policy" . For me that is a major problem and i PRAY and HOPE that someone, somehow explains and convinces FSG that buying potential is ok, but buying potential alone, will not win you trophies. That's basically what reports I've read have said. really sad if true that FSG can't see that THEY need to change as much as the manager. As Darcus says, Klopp might have worked with a DoF or committee type situation but it's more about the restrictions in buying that gets me. Lets hope they sort themselves out and get him in as I think it's time for a change.

That rather depends if you are talking about our 'real' stature, or the 'cloud-cuckoo-land' stature of the club.
We are a club that has reached the CL once in the last 5 years - potential incoming signings see us a reasonable fallback option if a top club doesn't come in for them.
Very true this summer. We are the best of the also-rans so finishing 5th is precisely where we should be. You can be disappointed that we're not near the top of the table if you like, but you cannot blame the manager when your unrealistic expectations don't bear fruit.
Incorrect. Finishing 2nd and having the second largest transfer budget in the league means if money was spent well top 4 would have been easy. With the players we bought over summer I said at the time we would be lucky to get 4th, but that is because of a catastrophic transfer window. So still 5th is a massive failure.

Can you remember the dark days where rafa had to wheel and deal under gillet and hicks despite consistently qualifying for CL? I don't think many managers would have achieved as much as he did under those shitty circumstances.

That appears to be your second conversion on the road to Damascus Ninja, I recall you being converted to that view before, but then had a relapse after we signed what you thought was nine gems last summer!! Hope you stick this time.
