The point i tried to make was " Why rafa gives mixed signals about the players" so i used the babel example of last night to highlight the mixed signals. Do you understand now? If you care about it or not, is not the point.

A man who is a manager of a football institution like LFC, a man who has won major trophies, a man who has the sight to buy torres, reina, alonso, masherano, a man who has a record in europe that is the envy of many, a man who has won titles and broken real madrids hold of the la liga. A man who was tracking Vidic, evra, alves, simao,robben, van der vaart, barry. etc

Do you think that a man with the depth and experience as i have highlighted will keep aquilani on the bench for fun or for spiting huh? do you thing that LFC is a sunday cricket team made up of taylors and shoe repairmen?

Liverpool is a football institution, with 100 years of history, with winning the greatest titles, there is a system at this club, there are physios, doctors, and assistant coaches at this club. They wont buy a player like aqulani and bench him for no reason. You do not know what goes on behind the scenes mate, none of us know what the real fitness level is of any player at the club.

I fully accpet rafa makes wierd subs, and takes too long to make changes, that is my opinion too, and lucas has no place in the club for me, i share the same frustrations as most fans, i dont follow blind.

As to why he bench aquilani, i guarantee you, that liverppol have qualified doctors and physios on the payroll, i guarantee you they have legit qualifications, they know when a player is ready to play two consecutive games and when he is not ready, they will tell teh coach these details accordingly. I promise you, that sami lee and rafa want to win games, they dont want to loose games, i can guarantee you if aqulani was ready we would have seen more of him, because any football fool can see aquilani brings new dimension to our game.

Please, understand that LFC is a football institution with 100 years of history and glory mate, please dont misunderstand, but there are things that take place behind the scenes we will never know.

yeah but we do have reina so i don't get your point joe? are you agreeing with me, that other than reina our defence is hopeless? and that rafa has to take the blame for that ..... not because of the zonal or man to man bollox but because he should have them better organised ..... far too many men back for corners and free kicks, which invites pressure as it is difficult to get out when you have no one up to pass to .... no one on the posts ..... the whole thing is a shambles

I agree with you, we defended rotten for bulk of the season, we out of champs league cos of late goals we conceded.

Under rafa we usually had a good defensive record, this season it seems we lost the defence mentality, i mean carra had a terrible first half of the season. The loss of Hyppia was a major gap/void. He had valuble experience.

When we lost johnson to injury, i was excited about kelly, then we lost kelly, and aurelio, skrtel, agger. i think the whole squad in front and back didnt have the time to settle this year, always 1 injured. only Lucas has been consistent feature. lol

but that is when the manager should earn his huge wages - he should be able to organise a decent defensive set up with the players at the club
