Well it doesn't inspire much confidence, but I'll take the win. But from a performance point of view it was mixed. It had the good, the bad, the comical and the downright pathetic! What with Sterlings attempts at scoring, ha, ha! I don't know whether to call it comical or pathetic, so I'll call it both! And then what about Lovern's amateurish swipe at the ball, and man! And him to be standing in the box like a spare [oops] in a whorehouse? Atkinson would've given a yellow, a red and two penalties against us for that every day of the week. Anyway it was a win, but can't say as I'm too confident going in to the semifinal against an inform Villa, but hope is all there is.

We're in form too though. We've got 12 points from our last 6 games, they have 10 points.

It should be a relatively easy win but I don't have much belief in Rodgers team, anything can happen. Yesterday, we played great for 30 mins and could have scored 3 but could have lost if the pen was given and the took their chances, so anything can happen.

Cout looks magic at times, shame Sterling can't finish otherwise we would have had a much happier forum with a great scoreline.

All in all, the better team played better over 90 minutes and won. Changes absolutely nothing from before the game though. Squad full of mediocre players (relative to the top 4 which was our aim and what we should have achieved with the 2nd highest spend last summer), couple of good players, play pretty nice football at times, cemented our hold on 5th, little to no chance of 4th.

He is frustrating to watch in front of goal but we should't hold that against him. He's our top scorer despite being played out of position, yet still has the same amount of goals as Dave Silva, who everyone seems to think is sooo much better.

Just think how good Sterling will be when he grows up. I'd much rather have him on our team than watching him rip our defenders a 'new one'!

Silva has a career total of 88 goals at a rate of 0.175. Sterling already has a goal rate of 0.188 and he's still in nappies! Gotta say, I'm really disappointed in some fans attitude towards our best player.

I'd absolutely rather have him than not.

No he has not!

Sterling has 7 goals and Silva 11 in EPL this season.

Silva has 92 career goals (counting League, Cup and International games). Has played 495 games which makes a ratio of just under 0.19 goals per game.

Sterling has 31 career goals. Has played 161 games which makes a ratio of just over 0.19 goals per game.

And, I'd rather have him than not too. But as it seems he wants out. It does apparently not have anything to do with money. Just wants to win things and live in London. frown
