Of ocurse it's just my opinion as yours is just yours. Lallana being a waste of 25 million isn't a knee jerk reaction at all, I'll borrow your absolutely ridiculous suggestion of "go through my previous comments", I said he was a poor buy as soon as we bought him, and thus far I have been proved undeniably right. You've got no back up to suggest he's been anything other than ordinary and ineffectual. That was our 'marquee' and biggest signing. Nuff said.
Again I'll borrow your extremely funny suggestion, "go through my previous posts", as your arrogance in assuming all I know of Markovic is his struggle during his Liverpool tenure is misplaced. At the time of buying I was well aware of him and said so, he has pace, SOME top critics thought he had bags of potential, plenty thought he was overrated. Perhaps don't put yourself on a pedestal and you'll realise everyone else knows just as much as you if not more.
"absolutely ridiculous suggestion?" thanks
"proved undeniably right" - opinion, not fact
I'm not being arrogant. I am just voicing an opinion. Exclaiming it as fact isn't something I'm doing. I'm well aware of how Markovic was rated and deemed "over-rated," and I already said that opinion is opinion. I'm not even voicing a position of higher knowledge, I'm just relaying my own. Take it badly if you wish, but there is no intent.
Do you think though that all will be fine, ie, we will be competing to win the league next season when everybody is settled?
I think it was clear that last season we slightly over-performed, and losing players like Suarez (sale) and Sturridge (injury) is obviously going to have a huge impact. I'd say that in periods we have shown to be of a much better ability than our position suggests. After a bad start, we have had a long run of clean sheets for the history books, and a run of good results up until a couple of weeks ago. I certainly believe that we'll improve on our start to the season that we had this season, and that would definitely have helped put us in the top four. Comfort in the system is key, and its fair to say we've improved vastly in that manner. I'm not saying we're shoe-ins for the title, but with good investment in a few areas we're still struggling in, I don't see why we can't be challenging. We definitely have a much more settled squad, and its that which Wenger, Pellegrini and Mourinho all had going into the summer, arguably van Gaal also. Our squad is much easire to mould when its base is broader. I'd say it is now, but that's just how I see it.
