Winning stuff means nothing if you're talking about the committee. I imagine that the majority wins out as is normal and if Rodgers preferred players dont get the majority vote they won't buy them. Him winning stuff and his authority has nothing to do with it.

I respectfully disagree. A winning managers word will always carry more weight within any kind of club structure. The same reason why proven managers are sought after while unproven managers are interviewed. But I do see your point, a proven manager would simply assert that he makes all decisions pertaining to player acquisition and would refuse to work within a committee.

We sold our best player for 75m, but yeah the signings have not been overly inspiring. Our squad is decent, we had a terrible start to the year with so many new players and one amazing players missing from the team it took us a while to figure it out. The second half our the season had been good.

The difference between us and the top teams is that we do not have an Ozil a Sanchez,Rooney,Di Maria, Costa, Hazard,Agureo etc. We had one world class player last year and we nearly won the league. If we had Sanchez this year I think we would have made top 4.

The squad is ok, but what we need to do this summer is to get a striker, break the bank for him, pay him the wages. It's blindingly obvious what needs to be done. If we do not do it then we are going to be a top 6 team for the foreseeable future no matter what manager is in place.

1 costa is better use to us than 10 Markovics, that is obvious. Spurs also spent 100m on players, but not one outstanding player. They have a decent squad because of it, but where are they in the bigger picture?

Rodgers is toast IMO, very good coach but no eye for a player, there will be changes in the summer, both Are and Rodgers will go IMO and possibly De Boer and a DOF will arrive.

Which is why we'll not get a proven manager, not even Rafa. FSG won't have it. They'll want to keep control even though they know nothing about soccer.
