I cant understand some of our fans, call the coach a coward, ridicule aqulani.

If Aqulani is on the bench, thats a problem, if he plays thats a problem, cos he falls down too much.

He cost 20 million, how many times do we need to point out that Rafa has not spent 20million upfront for aquilani? Its over a period of 5 years.

other factors i think we can consider, do we know how severe his injury is? Do we know the extent of his recovery? Do we know and can we say for sure that aquilani can start every game or play two games in a week?

There are many things that go on behind teh scenes that we will never know. I doubt Rafa sticks the scan of aquilani injury on his office wall and reads it.

I just feel we are not a small Rushden and diamonds club, we a big club, trust those in charge. (Except hICKS AND gILLET)

Could it be that rafa is giving mixed signals about aquilani to the media in order to mislead our opponents, keep them guessing? Cos aquilani brings a whole new game plan to the club compared to lucas.

if the players injury prevents him from playing that much then so be it. He should do his rehab and be ready after resting the whole summer and if he fails to recover, we got sell him before the full 20 millio is due, cut our losses and move on.

I never said with certainty that Rafa is confusing, i said it is something to think about, all managers give mixed signals, when robben was at chelsea, he was injured before the barca game, Mourinho gave mixed signals, chelsea TV aired footage of robben jogging, and the media said robben would be ready for the Barca game, this kind of mixed signals has the effect of misleading and influencing your opponent game plan.

If every team knew with certainty that aquilani would be injured for 3 months, that is very easy to counter us and come up with a game plan to throw us off, because lucas offers nothing going forward. Now if we had aquilani in the team, we will have a different opion going forward.

Coming back to the point that Aquilani goes down too easy, in the modern game most teams plan for their players to go down and win a free kick in certain areas. if he goes down and wins us free kicks, then we have a plan.

Take the agger goal against chelsea in Champ League, the set piece came in from the left, Stevie and Agger worked on that free kick in training over and over.
