It's almost impossible for any club to compete against Barca to retain a player they want unless you are Real Madrid, even Maunure lost Ronaldo at the peak of their game to Real. So even if we were the best team in England it wouldn't have made a huge difference. It was very clear why he left so there is no need for him to say that it was because of media. Great player but liar and cheat, doesn't mean I won't want him in the team.
