To be honest if this season finishes now, with us in our current position, no trophies, it would still be a success due to the inroads we have made bringing on our youngsters this season.
Remember BR and FSG have a long term project for our club.
The loss of Suarez and Sturridge will be taken into account by FSG, and this season will be chalked up as deviation due to factors beyond FSG and BRs control.
7th with no trophies a success? I think you'll be in a very small minority with that assessment. Can you define the long term please? for how many seasons will 7th and no trophies be regarded as a success? This 'blip' this season cannot be attributed to factors beyond FSG & BR control. On the contrary, it was precisely their actions that didn't come off. Whether that was bad luck or bad judgement will always be a matter of opinion.

Factors beyond FSG/BR control.
1) Suarez biting someone at the world cup, his position if stayed would have been untenable at our club with the abuse from fans and media directed at him.
2) Our first choice wanting to join Arsenal to be in London.
3) Remy failing his medical.
4) Owlman playing Sturridge and handling of him, resulting in him being injured for most of the season.
5) Injuries suffered by Can, Lallana, Markovic, Balotelli which did not aid them with adjusting to our style or the Prem.
Now if you take the top 2 scorers Suarez and Sturridge out of any team, of course they will struggle, and those choices were not the choice of BR or FSG.

Balotelli is still a crap signing, why are you claiming that he's all of a sudden a good signing? And Joe Allen has a good game in about 8 months & now all of a sudden he's 'coming good'. You are delirious mate.
I've never wanted Rodgers to be sacked but he's far from gods gift to English football, which is the picture you keep trying to paint.

totally agree
I dont accept 7th and never will
give rodgers his credit in the last few games we have won but overall he has not taken us forward from last season
he has to deliver at least top 4 and even that might not be enough to save his job
I will listen, only if your answer contains wisdom

What on earth, we lose Suarez and Sturridge for most of the season, and you expect us to be in the top 4?
It is due to BRs genius that we are so close to the top4 now anyway.

this welsh fella is away with the fairies. I can't recall too many asking for BR to be sacked what they were doing was pointing out how crap he was doing , and he was. It wasn't down to excuses either, it was playing a crap away and being stubborn about it too. he had to change his system or he was 1 game away from prob getting the sack. he has, its worked great. balotelli is still and always will be a sh1te signing . totally anti us and a large part of the reason why BR came so close to the sack.

Tons of you were on here asking for BR to be sacked.
And plenty of you cannot see a good player or manager when is siting in front of you.
Balotelli, Markovic, Coutinho, Sturridge, Allen, Lovren, Sahko, Mignolet, Can, Lambert all great signings made by BR.
I defy anyone to say they were bad signings.
Some players take longer to adjust, but thank god some of you are not on our transfer committee.
I guess you all prefer the signings made by Owlman, Konchesky, the useless Dane and Joe Cole.
Plenty of you were saying that BR signings are crap, now you are purring over Can, Sahko and Markovic, fickle fans, I can guarentee you will all be purring after Allen and Balotelli in 3 weeks time as well.
And if we win something you will all be desperately trying to rewrite history, claiming you always had faith in BR and his signings.
Makes me truly laugh.
