we have had 5 clean sheets in our last 10 games defence is improving I'm slowly running out of things to moan about

we have had 5 clean sheets in our last 10 games defence is improving We've had a run of games against particularly poor teams though, especially the likes of Sunderland, Villa & Burnley etc. Let's hope it stays strong once the quality of the opposition gets better, one thing is for sure though, it can't be bad for confidence.

We also played Leicester, who are also [oops], and let a couple in. And let's not forget the fiasco of that Wimbledon goal! The defence may have improved slightly but it's still pretty crap.

How we didn't snap up Steven Caulker before he signed for QPR still mystifies me. Miles better than any of our current CBs.
Steven Caulker who got relegated with Cardiff and is part of the QPR team that has so far conceded 39 goals in 22 games. Don't quite know how he is miles better than any of our defenders.

He does look awful on the ball but id love to see his distribution stats...quite good id say They are among the best in fact, very good for previous season as well. Still looks like spaghetti legs when its at his feet though.

Except he still looks like bambi on ice. And as dodgy as Mignolet when he gets the ball. Although that could be because no one in the team seems to like moving into space to make it easy for someone to pass to them. Many times today in the second half the defender would get the ball and have absolutely no one to pass to while the opposition closed in. Haha I agree with this, if he doesn't have to think he's a solid strong defender. If he has time on the ball he looks so awkward like he hasn't got a clue what it is or what to do with it. Times I think he's about to pick it up and play rugby with it! Maybe he will become a footballer in time, but he's not one at the moment.

He may look a bit gangly, but he's got the best distribution stats of our defenders, and he's a regular starter for France and former Captain of PSG. Not a footballer? Give me strength.
