Firstly, in the premier league, we have suffered 4 defeats in our last 10 games, we have won 4 and drawn 2. Yes winning cup games is nice but we should have 1 and only 1 priority this season, and that is cementing top 4. After that, we can worry about cups and such.

Secondly, since when did we as Liverpool fans become happy with "1 loss in 10"? If that read "9 wins in 10" then yeah, i would be happy, but 1 loss in 10 just seems defeatist, like we have become happy just to "not lose"!

I am not happy with approach.

On the plus side, we have been playing much better as of late, but let me remind you of our performance against Burnley, which was dreadful, despite the fact we got the points.

I am not calling for the firing squad, I think it would be a huge mistake to fire Rodgers now, I think it would be a huge mistake to change ownership now too, we need some more stability and lets see how this "project" unfolds. At least 1 more season.

Having said all that, I just want to get back to my original point, 1 loss in 10, is nothing to brag about. I want us to be winning 10 out of 10, and we need to make sure we do not let "1 loss in 10" become our new standard.

Onwards and upwards.

I agree with you except for the one point about Rodgers. I think we should find someone better, a manager who hasn't been able to sort out our conceding goals problem for more than 2 seasons, cannot be a top manager.

Moreno resembled a whippet and terrier, in equal measure.

Lovely to see against a decent side. Can we keep it up? I remain to be convinced.

Aspects I was not surprised by - Philippe, loved him from day one, he's our modern-day Barnes or MacManaman. Emre Can - superb 22nd century footballer. Lallana - one of few impressive members at Ingerlund level and blends talent with no little toughness. By that I simply means he shrugs off hard knocks and immediately gets on with the game.

If we get Danny back and Mario rediscovers form (our fans actually supporting rather than incessantly slagging a potentially world class player would help) we are nailed on for a top 4 finish.

Oh, amen, amen and amen again.
Lord please make it so;
To relieve a quarter century’s pain,
And positive juices flow!

Let all who read that lovely post,
Take heed and instant heart,
And may the lord god’s heavenly host,
Make this night be the start!

For we have suffered long for naught,
Our pain’s gone on and on,
Lord make Mr. Ruddock’s thought,
An end to our false dawn!

I actually thought the crowd were with both him and Sterling last night, as they were subbed on/off.

And when Mario tried really hard and made a few serious attempts/runs he was rewarded with applauses.

I'd like to see us go a few up, take off Sterling, and let us try to get him some goals for most of the game. He gets in the right places, but it just won't go in the net. If he scores a couple, he'll be a different player, mark my words.

When he has a strike partner he will be a different player....he's not a loan striker!

As for the OP prior to losing 1 in our last 10, we were losing more often than winning, so I think that's why its a positive that we are ground out wins or draws.

I haven't lowered my expectations and dont accept mediocrity but based on our early performances this season we are improving, not losing as frequently and have toughed out a few wins even when playing sh1t.
