i think lucas, hendo and can are all viable options for now until the end of the season.
i would like to see us go all out and get someone who can inject power as well as great defending attributes into this team.

Mascherano signed a new contract with Barcelona in the Summer and is a regular for them, thats a non starter.
I don't understand all the fuss about William Carvalho, he looked slow and off the pace against Chelsea in the Champions League and would cost well over £20mil, think he would be too much of a gamble.
Strootman has been left out a lot by Roma lately, haven't seen to much of him so can't really comment.
Luiz Gustavo is a good shout, he's at Wolfsburg and they bought him off Bayern last year for around £20mil euros if I remember rightly. They also have Kevin De Bruyne?
