We have one last chance to give it a go. In 2005 we had a world class Steven Gerrard winning it for us against Olympiakos to progress and eventually win old big ears.
Can we repeat that feat with our squad - will someone stand up and be the new Gerrard - and can this be that bloody corner?

I'd like to see that side out but Hendo will play and we'll play one up front and Borini won't make the bench.

Bad feeling about this game. I think we will draw which won't be good enough. Hopefully I am wrong and Gerrard repeats his Olympiakos performance 10 years ago.

The players and Manager should stop relying on Stevie and pull their own weight.

I think they are pulling their weight but just too damn average. A 35 year old Gerrard is still our best player at the club. There is your problem, no quality replacement.

I'm trying to be positive reliving history here but doubt we will make it. it will probably a draw or loss who knows.

Have to agree Maur. Nothing recently suggest we are going to put in better performances. Going out in a dire draw for me.

I just hope that if we don't go through, Ludo can beat Real so we don't have to bother with the Europa League. I know you get into the ECL if you win it but we really need to concentrate on the league and hope that by some miracle we get top 4.

Confidence seems low amongst us fans.
