Maybe Gerrard will play as a kind of second striker? Still would prefer Sterling in the middle but we'd have absolutely no width then.

Poor selection from Rodgers in my opinion. Don't know why but I thought he was going to make a statement tonight by dropping a few more underperformers but instead he has gone for the same, boring formation that might get us a draw at best if aren't up for it.

He should've gone all out attack instead of this. We'll probably lose either way but I'd rather go out trying!

Agreed. Was hoping for a Borini/Lambert partnership tonight. Don't see why he keeps sticking with this lone striker formation which just doesn't seem to work given the lack of resources available for that role
