It's the decisions that are being made around fees and wages that have us with a dumbed down squad, unable to defend, unable to attack and one of the weakest mid fields in the PL.
A new goat or three or four new goats in quick succession ( under this policy that's what you'll get) won't make a damned bit of difference, if they aren't allowed to sigh top quality players.

I take your point sir and well made but I think Rafa would have spent £100m much more wisely than either Dalglish or BR.

Agreed, provided he was let, but do you believe he would be let spend it by these owners on say two top quality players @ 50m each? Not a chance imo.
Don't forget the stakes on signing top quality have players has shifted significantly upward in money terms since Rafa's days here, and FSG are not in that segment of the business. Anyway it's all academic as FSG wouldn't touch Rafa with a forty foot pole, as they know he'd rat on them to the fans...no yes man he!

Three are other managers around, I just can't see Rafa as being the answer. Yes he will definitely get more out of these players and be tactically more astute, plus not make such so many stupid decisions. But he is a loon and he cannot shut up.

If all else fails say that word outstanding a couple of times. The more you do the more you will believe your own spin.

Although i wouldn't be entirely comfortable with the return of Rafa it wouldn't be on the basis of him being a bit of a looney tune,I think a bit of madness in a manager can go a long way.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I've not really reached the point yet where I feel we need to be getting rid of Rodgers as I believe our more immediate issues go higher uo than Bren but if pushed I'd rather we went for someone with a bit more experience, German and a bit loopy.

I'm sorry to say that's just wishful thinking. Rafa was hopeless in the transfer market. Voronin, Dossena, Jovanovic, Morientes. He also seemed to have a knack of winding players up. Even the ones he bought himself. Much as I like Rafa's work ethic and his fighting spirit, he'd be too much of a risk for us at the moment.

In BR I don't necessarily trust but he's the best option for us at this moment.

Best option for us? Are you serious?

If we are to move on from BR then we need to do something we have never done before - i.e. hire a world class manager. Somebody established and proven - not another up and comer like Martinez or Moyes. Man Utd finally figured this out - and so do we. We have to start getting top names and stop settling for the dregs.

When you say settling for the dregs do you include BR in that?
