Shame on the Apologists. I have no problem with the team selection at all. I'd rather see a weaker team against Madrid than Chelsea. And what would be the point in spending £130m on the squad if we aren't going to give the new players a game? Madrid have lost too far weaker teams than the one we have put out to night.

So he finally drops the players that people have been b!tching about all season, and people still arent happy?
Who are you so [oops] isn't playing? Balotelli? So far Borini has covered more ground in one half than Balotelli all season.
Johnson? As far as i'm concerned, Manquillo is the better player and we're better with him in the team.
Lovren? Most people have been bitching about him and saying he's been crap.
From what i've seen I'd start with a similar team against Chelsea, except maybe Gerrard/Hendo in for Lucas and Sterling in for Markovic
