Now don't get me wrong, has been a legend for our club but the time has come for him to move to a lesser club or retire.
We are constantly playing with 10 men each week with Gerrard in the team. His role is ineffective, he does not command in midfield or provide defensive help to our defense.
So what is the point?
I find it amusing he is hiding behind the Balotelli witchhunt, which is taking all the pressure off the performances Gerrard has been phoning in.
We are not a retirement home for ageing footballers.
A real powerhouse midfield for us would be Henderson, Can and Allen as our midfield 3, with Lallana, Markovic and Balotelli upfront.
But for the love of our club we need to bench Gerrard now.
You don’t have a white stick by any chance, Wizard? Or maybe you watch your footie on the radio? We all know Gerrard is not exactly what he was six or seven years ago, but even so, he’s still our best player by a country mile. Or maybe you were having a flashback to the Fugitive?
