NO, that was a laughing smile I had because I dont feel things are as bad as you might feel. But that's just my opinion. The way I see things, a fellow red supporter is looking forward to our next match and hoping for a big win, which probably how we all feel. Nothing wrong with that. I was smiling because I didn't know what to say, I cannot comprehend some of teh negativity on here, just as many cannot comprehend my positivity.
The way I see things is, if you can have a positive outlook and at least hope for the best, whats the point?
I know many will say we need to be realistic, but realistically, we aren't in such a bad spot at all. We cold be better but we're doing ok.

I take it that's a wry smile you got there Ninja as even in our golden age we we're never seen as the schoolyard bully. But these days we seem to be cowering in the shadow of the big boys while licking our chops at the prospect of beating up on the little'uns. Not the Liverpool of old, sad that. Cuts me up Herc.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Actually it says a lot about something else to me. Imagine a world where LFC had fans who were only willing to cheer or get excited when we play the big boys. No wonder it's been dead at Anfield. Perhaps if the attitude was right last season throughout the season, we would have seen off Crystal Palace and won the title. Ninja we weren't going to win the title even if we'd beaten Palace. We were going to lose the title on goal difference. We lost the title the day we lost to Chelsea at Anfield. If we'd at least drawn that game, which we could have done had BR been cunning enough to let Jose play his desired 0-0 draw to the end, then winning our last two games against Palace and Newcastle BY ANY SCORE would have given us the title. it was hardly rodgers's tactics what cost us the title, gerrard slipped, [oops] happens in football...

Mig Johnson Skrtel Lovren Enrique Lucas Allen Henderson Gerrard Sturridge Balotelli
If we could, wrap it up early and Gerrard and Sturridge off for the Madrid game. Depending on the game, wouldn't mind seeing Rossiter get a cameo.

No. It was the third minute of first half injury time if I'm not mistaken and we were pushing to score. If Rodgers were playing it safe -as he should have-, the ball should have passed back to the keeper instead of to Gerrard, and the slip would never have happened. I know that I'm speaking with the benefit of hindsight, but football matches -and seasons- are played on these tiny details by the more experienced managers. I say this as a huge BR fan, as I think he's our best hope for the future.

I SAY THIS AS A HUGE BR FAN, AS I THINK HE'S OUR BEST HOPE FOR THE FUTURE. When you look at LFC in it’s totality today you could be forgiven for saying Rodgers is our only hope. How he got us to 2nd last season even with the magic of Suarez was something of a miracle. Can he repeat that without Suarz and with that last raft of prospects? I hope he can, but if I’m honest I have serious doubts, good and all as he is.
