How old was Stevie when he became one of the main contributors? Owen? Ronaldo at united? Origi at Lille? Walcott at Arsenal, Alcantara at Bayern, Pedro at Barca Giggs at united......and the list goes on.

That’s the issue and is like to remain the issue at LFC as long as we continue with the current recruitment policy. If you sell your best player and recruit prospects and cheapish players from mid table clubs, they’re unlikely to make the step up. As someone else said here: if you buy average you play average.

Sterling isn't on the same level as those player, when they became the main figures at their clubs. The lads talented no doubt, I think he has massive potential but currently is put him in the middle of good and very good. None of our signing are good enough to take us to the next level now. Moreno/Manq/Markovic may turn out to be those players in a few years.

People can say what they want but players cannot be judged at an extremely young age like 19 or 20.
