Agreed. Imagine if he had gotten injured! Him playing against Estonia would have been very risky for both club and country. He has a Prem game and a match against Real Madrid next week. A bit of rest before that will do him good.

Hoping the rest has done him good and he comes back fresh on the weekend, his pace against the very slow QPR back line will be key

Value for money? Comparisons have been made Sterling v Owen in terms of talent at a young age. I am curious of the goals per game ratio comparison between the two?

They're very different players. In terms of pace and movement, they have similarities. Personally, I see more shades of Barnes to me. The guile and trickery, the creativity, the ability to find the right place at the right time, the fearlessness with the ball.

So what are Raheem's stats? 1 goal per 10 games? 1 in 20?

and John Barnes was more of an attacking left midfielder/winger.
who scored a lot of goals.

When a 19 yr old kid becomes your biggest contributor in terms of goals and assists, for a club of Liverpools size, just shows how poor our other players have been and the lack of quality at the club.
