I was hoping west brom won until I turned into lothair road and saw anfield then I supported Liverpool it's what I do and have done since 1963. My mind wandered during the game about all those who thing we don't need a new stadium. We do and without it there is no serious future for this club. When you are at the ground and see it as it is you can see there is no way that can be redeveloped to give us the facility this club deserves. But when you are talking to people who have never even seen anfield or seen it once or twice it's impossible to get that point over. But never mind as a club we are what we are and the club is bigger than me or any individual I have better things to worry about but no one will ever convince me tarting up that out of date ground is the answer. Much as I love the old girl of course ...and Mrs SP?

Much as I love the old girl of course I totally sympathise with that. I watched Oxford for years and when they got a new ground I hated every soulless part of it. No atmosphere. No life. Your wish may one day come true but will it be something that helps to delete the history as you know it?

SP's post was surprising for an old-time fan.... but that was followed up by a thread about how easy it is to get the right players and manager... apparently 3 BR out threads aren't enough.

Apparently and seemingly, according to some bloke I was talking to in what can only be refereed to as 'in confidence' but in the interest of making this statement appear as vague as possible I'll say 'secretly', there are some alleged, anonymous 'fans' who are supposedly starting a Brendan Rodgers out 'campaign' and of course those 'fans' will always be ostensibly referred to on koptalk forums with air quotes to indicate irony and sarcasm.
Just to be on the safe side, I'm going to start a thread referring to said 'fans' full of contemptuous ridicule and quickly alternate between commenting on 'some people on here' and 'the Fifa generation' so that other koptalk users, in their simple mindedness jump on the bandwagon in an effort to appear just as knowledgeable, calm and collected as myself.

They come across less as fans to me - more Mancs or Bitters
