Whatever the percent is a bet the lions share of Liverpools TV income is from domestic football my guess comfortably over 90%. And the overseas agregate number quoted by marko does that include american TV rights ? if so I bet NFL and other american sports account for most of that maybe the best of the rest being shared between spanish and english football.

this post just goes to prove you never read what some people post:

According to Delloitte domestic TV rights for the premier league bare worth 5.7 billion dollars this season and overseas broadcasting rights 3.7 billion dollars. That's hardly 3% of the domestic media revenue. If you add to that the income from merchandise, you will see just how much the overseas market generates. Yes there are a lot of counterfeit shirts, but there are a hell of a lot of original ones too.

Thats the agregate number which is completely meaningless that figure covers all sports in all countries i dont deny its a big market but I revert back to my question I just asked you what doees Liverpool FC receive in income from domestic tv right vs overseas ? What is that figure ?

no that figure covers payments for the premier league rights, not the rights for all sports! I don't know the exact figure that Liverpool receive from that deal but to say the world market is less than 3% of our revenue is completely disproven by those numbers

This link shows what the FA receives from non UK broadcasters and it comes to 2.23 Billion http://www.sportingintelligence.com/2013...2-23bn-160901/.

Look at the orginal post Virgin TV probably by far the biggest UK cable operator saying prem football too expensive for fans. Do they care about fans ? what do you think ? they are losing money thats why they are squealing ! Which proves my point and what Faz was pointing out we are reaching the limit of what the market can bear and the UK market is the real market for british clubs the overseas are top up important yes but not the main market

You don't know what you are talking about, read this www.sportingintelligence.com/2013/09/16/...2-23bn-160901/. I would say about 40% of LFC tv rights come from abroad

Of fair enough Vish i wont read your link I will take your word for it. Sop heres a point gioven the UK market is saturated do the prem clubs take less money or shall we increase your cable bill ????? I would love to see that not only are we subsidising overseas fans by paying ridiclous ticket prices at the game domestic cable is higher than overseas from what I see. Time for you and Marko to pay your way. HA HA HA

I have no problems paying as long as I think it's worth it. I am not like some who keep complaining but still want to consume. By the way, if the overseas fans were not topping up, you would have had to pay more or probably players would earn less, but, that would be the past. Ticket prices however will not go down as long as there is demand as it is an exclusive product (as you keep on saying yourself), in fact it will keep on increasing because the cost of ownership of a seat is much higher than a tv broadcast per watcher.
