Actually i was out doing fieldwork, sampling funnily enough, taking samples of lake water for the presence of cyanobacteria. Whilst i am perfectly aware of the definition of random samples, i am also perfectly aware that things have to be put into context. Putting up a poll on the new this forum and getting 200 replies is as representative and random a sample as you can get of the forum community, whether you like to acknowledge that or not.

Also you suggesting his poll could reflect a certain view by fluke is correct in theory, not in reality however, because the thread topic had been discussed 20 times even prior to the poll and the whilst the chance of each one reflecting the same opinion "by fluke" are existent, they might as well not be, such is the probability.

Markovic like the other signings we made this season need time. Its a new atmosphere for most of those lads. He has certainly not lived up to the hype surrounding him when he came in but it is expected early on. I will reserve my judgement for another day.
