Coutinho and Henderson have small injuries so won't feature. I think obviously Lambert will play, likely Borini will come on at some point if not start.
If I'm honest, I'd rather us not be in the domestic cups because we really need to concentrate on the league, but I guess this is why we bought all those average players instead of consolidating 4th, so we can field decent teams when we play 3 games in a week.
Its a chance for lallana and marko et al to prove they have some quality and get themselves in the team for the mersey side derby. I'd play a strong back 4 because boy do they need time together and practice.
Despite my apathy for the cup in our current predicament, this is actually quite an important game for all the wrong reasons. Win and no one really mentions it, but lose and we look like we are spiralling, that's what the press wills say at least and that can really hurt morale. Win well however, with some good performances from some of the new boys, and that can give some individuals confidence, something that is clearly lacking.
