There probably are none wiki but the evidence points to the cost of new build has been grossly exaggerated by FSG to justify reduced investment in the club. Look at city's ground that is in eastlands a run down area of Manchester very similar to the anfield area of Liverpool so you would expect a similar capital cost. That is the comparison how much did Arsenals stadium cost? It's in London our capital city totally different proposition to a deprived area of a provincials city yes the price of raw materials us the same but infrastructure wise it's a tidally different proposition which I have explained to you at least ten times now. I think you are just defending your beloved FSG at any cost. Eastlands us very similar to anfield and Manchester council built a magnificent stadium for£110m so I suggest FSG speak to them

Wiki city's ground cost £200m in today's money. If Liverpool had a stadium like that I would be delighted manchester city's ground was already built for the commonweath games , if the owners had to build a new stadium from scratch city would never have been bought out .

Maybe but the point is about the cost of the stadium the proposition is a new build would cost astronomical sums over £400m the evidence does not support that

A stadium that was built more than a decade ago? Great evidence. Also, do you have by any chance the rate of inflation in the construction industry, it's not always the same as overall inflation. As usual you are just hoping , even you wouldn't invest in a stadium, so cut your crap, please.

Real estate is substantially more expensive to build in London than Liverpool that's pretty much understood by most people. If you don't believe me try buying a house in either city. Bricks and steel are the same the price of land is not. I still have not had an explanation of how Manchester city council can build the commonwealth stadium for £110m ? And how it's impossible in a city 30 mikes away except for Everton where apparently it is possible. Something is not adding up

It's all opinion and assumption. Until I see it from an expert I won't bribe we can build a stadium for £200m! If we can then questions need to be asked of FSG.

Same as any other they engage consultants they have not picked the number out of thin air vish and it stacks up with the present day cost of city's stadium too how much evidence do you need ?
Your construction inflation argument is flawed also as the price of steel still applies to redevelopment in fact more so as you need bespoke build rather than kit form as the modern stadiums are built today a friend of mine worked in the reebok and it was built in no time I would expect having to work around the other stands at anfield would nit be much difference from new build. John Henry us just penny pinching I would not be surprised to hear the difference us as little as £75m
