City's superb stadium at £210m in today's money Everton £200m future money the evidence is overwhelming I have not even checked what the reebok was guess top of head £100m the evidence is overwhelming Henry s selling the club short for a generation or a lifetime for the sake of a paltry £50m or so typical of him we are seeing it in the transfer market also why would he he different with a stadium

Can't argue with the City stadium. Can't use a proposed Everton stadium at what seems too cheap a price to knock them with. I mean, is there any plans or details of this £200m stadium? I agree if it is £200m and we're going to spend £150m on a refurb then questions need to be asked.

Nobody knows if a stadium today will cost 200m and nobody knows what type of stadium it is. Regarding the transfer market, if you would use your brain and checked our last couple of years losses, you would understand that we have been spending what we could so as not to be hit by FFP.

Vish we know for sure Manchester city's ground cost about £130m and with inflation that equates to about £200m today that's factual. And Everton are quoting £200m for a 55k seater which based on the city example does not sound unreasonable does it ? And Manchester city's ground my friend is no cheap low quality option it's an ultra modern stadium packed with facilities and technology. Quite apart from the serious questions that now need to be asked about FSG,s refurbishment plans which more and more look to be an operational disaster you also have to wonder will we be sold short in technology and facilities ?

this plan of EFC is a long long long way off , no planning submitted , no money for it and also there is a protest so it will be a long time before anything happens if it happens at all .

But that misses the point the fact seems to be we have been mislead about the cost of a new stadium clearly Manchester city have a first class stadium which at current money is about £200m. Everton's costing whether it goes ahead or not is around £200m I agree Everton's stadium won't go ahead any time soon I said so about 20 posts ago but if Everton do something about their stadium and it's inevitable they will then it will be new build. Anfield refurbished might numerically get more seats but it will be poor views in many areas of the ground (as it is now) and limited in it's expansion which for a club the size of Liverpool FC is unacceptable.

So, again, where are the plans and details for Everton's stadium so we can compare to what we would want?
