Have you been to Suffolk?

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

The echo is reporting there us a long term plan to go to 70k that's clearly when (and if) they rebuild the Kop and centenary stand they will squeeze a few more in but that might be 20 years hence and god knows how many United and city will be packing in then. The club is bolloxed long term

Other than Chelsea we are the only club doing it but we don't have a rich owner. And stop speaking as if our ground will be 71k it won't it will be 58k the only evidence otherwise is an anonymous person posting on the internet who is a qualified engineer apparently he can walk on water as well I understand

Actually the way things REALLY ARE is completely different. Out of 20 premier league clubs, ONLY arsenal have built a new stadium and united expanded. City are leasing. So out of 20 PL clubs only one has built a new stadium. The other 19 have not. That's the truth.

The only way to get the size of stadium that people want to rival the size of Old Toilet is to move away from the current location or ground share.

Both options would be soulless grounds with no character and only serving to satisfy more corporate types. It wouldn't be for the current fans and their families.

I have changed my mind over the years at what size ground we could fill every week. At 58k it would still not be big enough to outstrip demand or reduce ticket prices. But it would still retain the atmosphere and sense of history.

I am assume marko (probably wrongly) you want Liverpool to be a top club I really don't care whether burnley have built a top ground or not. Manchester United have redeveloped but they have the space and the capacity we don't. All you are doing us all you ever do on here defending FSG and being mindlessly optimistic for everything and anything.

I take your point but that's the world we live in corporate and commercial the redeveloped anfield will be like that only not big enough. I would love it to be full of loyal kopites singing but those days are long gone

Not quite true. Stoke used to play at Victoria Ground now it is Britannia Stadium. Sunderland was Roker Park now it is Stadium of Light. Swansea was Vetch Field and now it is Liberty Stadium. Hull was Boothferry Road and now KC Stadium. Southampton was The Dell now it is St.Mary's.

These are all totally new grounds.
